"You have modified your currently loaded appearance setting. Do you wish to reload this appearance?"

The following message is shown when a user has successfully saved an updated appearance setting.

"You have modified your currently loaded appearance setting. Do you wish to reload this appearance?"

This message is not suppressible and requires the user to choose from its two options, 'Yes' or 'No'.  For most users, it is not immediately obvious as to what the outcome of choosing either of these two options is. Here, we look to explain this message.

Having modified your currently loaded appearance setting, opened the appearance manager and clicked 'Save', you will first be shown the 'Appearance Settings' dialogue before you continue.  This provides the user with the ability to further customise their environment settings (e.g. environment colours, units and measurements, application language etc), which will then similarly be reflected in the saved appearance setting.

Any changes made within the open 'Appearance Settings' dialogue, whilst understandably saved with the updated appearance setting, will NOT be applied to the currently loaded appearance.  Therefore, the user is prompted as to whether to reload their appearance so that it reflects any further changes applied to the newly saved version.

Selecting 'Yes' from this dialogue will force the very latest version of the appearance to be loaded, whereas, selecting 'No' will leave the appearance in the state it was in before the save operation and any subsequent changes made in the 'Appearance Settings' dialogue.
