The following describes further steps that may be required to disable Windows Virtualisation.


The steps outlined in this link should be attempted first.

 

This example is using a Dell XPS – Windows 11 Pro.


  • Enter the Windows BIOS screen by pressing and holding the F11 key during the laptop startup.


  • From the Dell One-Time Boot Settings select Bios Setup.

  • From the Bios Setup screen select Virtualization Support from the left-hand menu.

  • Locate the VT setting in this case it is called Enable Intel Virtualization Technology (VT).

  • Turn VT off and apply the changes.

  • Apply the changes and exit out of the Bios Setup.
