Layout Waste Calculation
If you create a layout from a design that has been generated from an Impact standard then, by default, the following database fields in the MULTI_UP table will have values assigned:
- WASTE_PCN
- WASTE_WT
- UTIL_PCN
These are established in the default Value Mappings using these system functions:
- LayoutSheetScrapFittedPercent
- LayoutSheetScrapFittedWeight
- LayoutSheetUsedFittedPercent
However, these values use the knife to knife size of the layout, rather than the fitted sheet size. Instead of changing the calculations for these system functions, Impact 2022 has introduced three new system functions which use the fitted sheet size of the layout:
- LayoutSheetFixedScrapFittedPercent
- LayoutSheetFixedUsedFittedPercent
For consistency reasons, the following new system functions have also been added:
- LayoutSheetScrapArea
- LayoutSheetScrapKnifeToKnifeVolume
- LayoutSheetScrapKnifeToKnifeWeight
