You may find there are tools described in this document which do not appear in your Impact installation. There are several reasons why this might occur:
- Your product licence might not include the tool. For example, Designer Standard licences do not include any of the Diemaking tools.
- Your user privileges might prohibit you from running the tool. Your privileges will depend upon which user group your system administrator has assigned you to.
- There are certain environment options which affect the visibility of certain tools (Advanced and Diemaking).
- There are database options which affect the visibility of some tools (Simple Interface or Advanced Interface).
- You or your system administrator might have configured your appearance settings to hide (or relocate) any of the tools.
Alternatively you might be able to see a tool, but disabled (greyed out). This might be for the following reasons:
- The tool may need a project to be opened.
- The tool may need some entities to be selected before it becomes active.
If you're still unsure, the Help What's This tool can tell you the exact reason.
