At any time, you may have several projects which you are working on. These are allocated to you, even when you don't have them open, to stop other users from also making changes to them. You can find these projects in your Working Projects area within the Impact Browser. Additionally the File > Open menu displays a short list of your working projects.
The exact behaviour of your working projects depends upon your Database Operation settings. If Simple Interface is enabled, then as soon as you close a project, it will be released from your working area and thus become available to other users. If Advanced Interface is enabled, then the project will remain in your working area until you Release it or Discard it. The Advanced Interface also optionally allows you to allocate - "check out" - specific layers, while allowing other users to modify the other layers.
