3DX provides Impact users with access to an extended range of industry standard 3D solid object import and export formats and can be used by designers to create accurate apertures around products for use in fitments and foam packing, whilst also providing enhanced 3D model exchange options.

Each release of Impact is typically accompanied by the upgrade to the 3DX library, which helps to maintain support for the latest industry file format updates. Refer to Which version of the 3DX Library should I be using? to check the compatible3DX library versions for your each Impact version.
The Advanced 3D module is a prerequisite for enabling this feature on an Impact licence.
