The Window Layout tools divide the screen into multiple viewports (useful for aligning objects or multi-camera animation & editing).
Each view can be activated by left-mouse clicking within the required window.
Each window operates independently, therefore rotating the camera position or zooming in/out within one window does not affect the remaining windows.
Moving or rotating an object (such as a folding model, a mesh object or a light source) in one viewport will affect all other viewports.
Note that you can assign any of the pre-defined views to any of the view ports.
