This tool allows you to quickly change from one block to another in the current layer. This tool is very similar to the Block - Change Current tool, with the advantage that it is quicker to use but with the disadvantage that you can only quick change one step up or one step down the block structure.
If you are already within a block and have not yet saved the changes you have made (using Block - Save from the menu) then the Save Current Block form appears first.
If you wish to step down a level in the block structure, to a sub-block of the current block, pick an entity in the sub-block. If you wish to step up a level, closer to the drawing layer, pick away from any entity.
Remember that the current block name appears on the status bar at the bottom of the screen, if that option has been applied in your Appearance Settings.
