This tool is used to create a new project, normally called "Untitled". You can have as many new and existing projects open as required.
Once the tool is activated the forms that appear depend upon your New Items settings. Some forms can be suppressed, to save you time.
First, the New Project form allows you to choose a template, which defines some initial settings for the project (such as pre-set layers). You may prefer to use No Template.
Next, the Project Information or Project Database form (depending on your settings) appears, allowing you to enter project database information, such as the project reference (name) and code. Finally, the database information and Layer Properties may be displayed for each new layer. You can revisit these forms at any time from the Database menu.
