This form is accessed from the Enquire - Lengths tool.

Enquire on
Choose the method for determining which entities to use for the calculation:
Use settings
From the drop-down list choose the required Master Tool Setting. The calculation will depend on how this has been configured.
If this option is chosen then the Visible entities only, Recurse into sub-blocks, Explode text entities and Explode dimension entities options will not be available.
Current Layer
The calculation will be the total length of all entities in the drawing layer.
Current Block
This option is only available if you are currently editing a sub-block. The calculation will be the total length of all entities in the sub-block.
Current Drawing
The calculation will be the total length of all entities in the current drawing.
If this option is chosen then the Recurse into sub-blocks option will not be available.
Selected Entities
The calculation will be the total length of selected entities only. Ensure that they are already selected before activating this tool.
If this option is chosen then the Recurse into sub-blocks option will not be available.
Specified Palettes
Only entities drawn in the chosen palettes will be used for the calculation. To change or view the palettes press the edit button to the right of this option. This will display the Palettes form.
If this option is chosen then the Visible entities only option will not be available.
Visible entities only
If this option is switched on then the total length will be calculated only from visible entities.
Recurse into sub-blocks
If this option is switched on then entities within sub-blocks will be included in the calculation.
Explode text entities
Switch this option on if the lengths of text entities are to be included in the calculation.
Explode dimension entities
Switch this option on if the lengths of dimension entities are to be included in the calculation.
As the options are changed the results will be updated. There is the option to display the final calculation in the Output toolbox when the form is closed.
