Automation Tool Attributes - General
General
Show In Menu
Switch this option on if the tool is to appear on the Automation menu.
Available in toolbar customisation
Switch this option on if the tool should be available from the Customise tool.
Tool Name
Enter the name that will appear both on the Automation menu and on the Customised Toolbar
Menu Name
If you add this tool to the Automation menu, it will be added to a sub-menu with the name you enter here. This will not have any effect if you add the tool to a Customised Toolbar.
Help
This is the text that appears on the status bar when the cursor is over the Automation menu item or tool button.
Tooltip
Enter the tooltip text here. This appears next to the tool button when the cursor is over it.
Icon
You can create an icon and associate it with this tool. It will appear next to the tool name on the Automation menu. Tool buttons can be configured to display the icon, the tool name, or both. Click the edit button 
to open the Button Editor.

Automation
Switch this option on if you want to define a script to be assigned to this tool item.
Automation
Click the edit button 
to define the script using the Select Automation form. This script will be executed whenever this tool item is chosen, either from the Automation menu or the toolbar.
Tool Variation
Switch this option on if you want to configure a tool for this tool item.
Tool
From the dropdown list, choose the required tool.
Tool Properties
Depending on the chosen tool, the configurable tool properties will appear here. The following options can be set for each property:
- Override this value for the tool when it starts, otherwise load the last value used
- Prevent the user from changing this value
- Hide this value from the user

Users
Specify which users can execute this tool, choose one of:
- All Users
- Administrators - see User Groups
- Selected - choose from the list of users
