This form is displayed from any tool that requires a symbol to be selected, such as the Block - Insert symbol tool.
Symbol Select
The left-hand panel shows the symbol groups as set up in the Impact Browser.
The middle panel shows a list of the symbols within the chosen symbol group. The format of this list is controlled using the buttons at the bottom of the form.
The right-hand panel shows a preview of the chosen symbol. The preview panel can be switched on and off using the button in the bottom left-hand corner of the form.
If the Use Symbol documents option is switched on in the Database Installation > Documents options then either an Add Documents button 
(if the selected symbol has no associated documents) or a Show Documents button 
(if it does have associated documents) will be displayed at the bottom right of the form, next to the Favourites button 
.
When the required symbol has been chosen you should press the Select button.
