  • Oblique Stroke

Terminator Size

Enter the required size.

Leader Length

Enter the required leader line length.

Show Radial Lines

Switch this option on if you require radial lines to be displayed on radius dimensions.

Projection Line

Parallel Offset

Enter the required offset between successive parallel dimension lines.

Dimension Gap

Enter the required gap between the entity being dimensioned and the projection line coming from it.

Projection Ascent

Enter the required distance that the projection line continues beyond the associated dimension line.

Dimension Settings - Labels

This page is used to configure the dimension text.

Text style

Format specifier

Enter the required format string. The '%' character represents the dimension value. %1 and %2 can be used to access the dual formats as described on the Formatting page. There is also a special format specifier, %/HR, which causes fractional numbers to be output differently. This causes the fractional part to be always displayed giving the number of sixteenths. For example, 1 8/16 will be displayed as 1:08, 5 2/16 displayed as 5:02 etc.

Orientation

Select the required orientation.

  • Parallel - the text label will be drawn parallel to the dimension line
  • Base line - similar to Above line except that the text is closer to the dimension line
  • Horizontal - the text label will always be drawn horizontally

Position

Select the required settings.

  • Above line - the text label will be position outside the dimension line
  • Break line - the dimension line will be split and the text label positioned between the two sections

Dimension Settings - Auto-size

Use this page to configure auto-sizing of dimensions. This enables the dimension parts to appear the correct size regardless of the size of the drawing.

Auto-size

Switch this option on to enable auto-sizing, whereby certain attributes are sized according to the extents of the current drawing at the time of creation.

Use the slider to define the required size and then switch on the dimension parts that you wish to be sized automatically.

Note that the sizes might need recalculating as the drawing extents change; this may be done using the Tidy Dimensions tool.
