Stripper System - General - Male Waste

Default

Always Do Male Waste

If this option is checked then male waste settings are always automatically applied to all stripping areas/regions. The default Male Waste settings for stripping areas/regions created using these system settings can also be chosen from the drop-down list.

This is particularly useful when you wish to seamlessly use male waste settings which do not define automatically placed components, but specify the components which are to be added manually.

NOTE: It may not always be efficient to specify a default male waste setting that is always applied, particularly if that setting specifies to automatically place male waste components, even though the users are expected to place some restrictions manually.  The automatic placements will be recalculated after every manual modification, and this can severely affect the performance on low-specification computers.  Instead, the male waste setting can be applied separately, after the restrictions.

If materials have been defined, Material specific overrides can be made for this value by clicking the Material button.

Male Component Offset

This is the default distance between the profile and the anchor for any dynamic stripping component placed relative to it using the Solitaire tool.

Also, this is the default offset value used by the Free tool if the currently selected stripper area/region has no male waste settings defined upon it.

If materials have been defined, Material specific overrides can be made for this value by clicking the Material button.

You can specify the same value for both inside and outside strippers, or specify different values.
