This form allows you to add variables from the Impact library into your standard. It is called from the Variable Explorer form or the Standards Designer form.
Add from Library
The Common Variable groups are displayed in the tree list on the left-hand side. When you select a group the associated variables are displayed on the right-hand side.
To add variables to the standard you should select the required variables in the right-hand column (shift-click and control-click can be used in the usual way to select more than one item) and then press the Add Variables button.
To add a complete variable group you should select that group in the left-hand column and press the Add Variables button.
In both cases the variables will be added to the corresponding group in the standard. This group will be created if necessary.
Link variables to Common Variables
By linking these variables to the Common Variables, Impact sites can modify the allowance formulae used within your standard when it is run without needing to edit the standard. Linked variables cannot be modified in your standard.
If you don't link these variables, then you are free to edit them as you like in this standard and they cannot be modified by Impact sites when the standard is run.
