Rubber Nesting Wizard

This wizard is opened when you start the Rubber Nester tool.

Master tool settings

Settings

From the pulldown list select the required Rubber Nesting Settings. You can use the Edit button  to make a local override to the chosen settings.

Rubber Types

Sheet Mappings

From the pulldown list select the required Rubber Sheet Mappings. You can use the Edit button  to make a local override to the chosen settings.

Rubber types to nest

From the list of Rubber types you should select those that you want to nest. The Rubber Types are defined in the Rubber Mappings MTS. If a Rubber Block contains a palette that is not defined in the chosen Sheet Mappings it will be listed as Default Rubber.

Rubber Type

Select a Rubber Type from the list and all the Rubber Blocks of that type will be listed in the Parts table.

Parts

Select a Block Name in the list to display a preview of that Rubber Block. If the option Group into clusters has been switched on in the Nesting Parameters then each cluster of parts will be identified as a User Defined Cluster. The cluster is not displayed in the preview.

Edit

Press this button to open the Rubber Straightener Form where you can remove the bends from the Rubber Block, potentially making the nesting result more efficient.

Part Type

From the list, choose either Normal or Matrix. If you choose Matrix then you can enter a number of rows and columns which will cause the blocks to be nested in arrays of the specified size.

Quantity

Enter the number of parts required here.

 

Rubber Nesting Wizard - Rubber blocks - Sheets

This page allows you to create non-standard sheet sizes for the selected Rubber Type to be nested. Any sheets specified here will be utilised before the sheets defined by the Sheet Mappings.

Add

Press this button to open the Add Extra Sheets form where you can define the Width and Height of the sheet together with the number of sheets available.

Delete

Press this button to remove the current sheet from the list.

Use these buttons to alter the order of the sheets in the list.

Width

You can override the width of the current sheet here.

Height

You can override the height of the current sheet here.
