This option allows you to assign variables and expressions to dimensions or entities within your parametric design. To use simply right click on the variable or expression you wish to assign and select the type of application you want.
Assign to Dimensions – Assigns to the dimension you click on.
If either the Dimensions button or the Dim. Expressions button is not selected then you will be prompted as follows:
It is recommended that dimension variables are visible in the current canvas. Do you wish to make them visible now?
You should then select the dimension to which you want to assign this variable. The dimension value will be replaced with the variable name.
Assign to Conditional Entities – Assigns to dimensions or geometry you wish to apply a condition to.
If the Conditional button is not selected then you will be prompted as follows:-
It is recommended that conditional entities are visible in the current canvas. Do you wish to make them visible now?
You should then select the entity to which you want to assign this conditional expression.
Assign to Fold Angle – Assigns to a fold angle. In the event a 3D fold angle will be affected by a parametric resize.
You can only use this tool if the selected variable is an angle variable.
You should then select the entity to which you want to assign this fold angle variable.
