This form is called from the Block - Master Layers tool. It is used to manage the Master Layers within the current project. A Master Layer is a layer from a Master Project. You can also add normal layers to the project.
Project Layers - Master Layers
Close
Press this button to close the form and finish the tool.
Add
Press this button to add a normal layer to the project. This opens the New Layer tab of the Layer Attributes form.
Add Master
Press this button to add a new Master Layer to the project. This opens the Project Browser, where it only displays Master Projects.
Properties
Press this button to display the relevant pages of the Layer Attributes form.
Delete
Press this button to remove the highlighted layer from the project.
Locate
Press this button to open the Project Browser and locate the Master Project that contains the highlighted layer. This option is only available for a Master Layer.
Update
Press this button to update the layer geometry in the highlighted master layer. This option is only available for a Master Layer, and if the geometry in the Master Project's layer has changed since the layer was added to the current project.
Unlink
Press this button to remove the link between the selected project layer and the Master Layer. If you do this the Master Layer geometry will remain in the layer, but the geometry will no longer be automatically updated when the Master Project changes. This option is only available for a Master Layer.
Clear
Press this button to clear the Master Layer geometry from the highlighted layer. This will leave an empty layer in the project. This option is only available for a Master Layer.
Show Master Layer Search
If you switch this toggle button off the Search panel at the bottom of the form will be hidden.
Synchronise Project Layers
When this toggle button is switched on, as you select a different layer in the list, that layer will become the current layer in the project. With the button switched off, the current layer will remain unchanged.
Search Panel
This panel allows you to search for Master Layers in the Project Browser.
Search by
From the pulldown list choose either Code or Reference. This is the database field on which the search will be performed.

Enter the exact string to match in this field.
Search
Press this button to start the search process.
Master Project
If the search is successful then the description of the Master Project will be displayed here.
Insert Layer
The pulldown list will contain all of the layers in the identified Master Project. You should select the one you wish to add to this project.
Add Layer
Press this button to add the selected layer to the current project.
