Much of the Project Browser appearance and behaviour can be controlled from the Browser Options form. This can be reached by right-clicking in the empty area of the Project Browser List View panel, or clicking the Options button on the Standard toolbar, or (from the Impact main menu) via Options Environment - Database Operation - Dialogs, Browser Options.
Choose which fields are displayed in the List View:

A different set of fields can be displayed for each of the available folder types – Projects, Working Projects, Templates, Symbols, Layers, Project Revisions, Locate Projects, Documents, Project Invitations, User Invitations. You can also use the Database Field form to configure how each field is displayed.
New
Define a new database field to be added to the list.
Edit
Configure the display options for the highlighted database field.
Delete
This option is only available for new fields that you've added.
Use the arrows to alter the order of the database fields in the list.
Change general options which affect the Browser behaviour:

General Options
Enable in-place renaming of folders
Switch this option on to allow folders to be renamed from the tree-list, rather than having to use the Rename folder tool.
Enable 'drag-and-drop' file moving
Switch this option on to allow files to be dragged from one folder and dropped into another.
Display file move confirmation dialog
When moving files from one folder to another (either by drag and drop or by cut and paste), switching this option on will cause a confirmation message to be displayed asking if you are sure this is what you want to do.
Group the customers by first letter
Switch this option on to create a tree-list in the Project Browser Customer folder, so that customers are grouped by their initial letter.
Display select folders for advanced queries
If an advanced query does not have any search folders assigned in its Master Tool Settings, then switching this option on causes the Select Folder form to be displayed when the query is executed.
Double clicking a query
From the drop-down list choose Executes search or Shows Properties. This option defines what happens when you double-click a query in the project browser.
Restore when opened
Restore and select last folder opened from
If this option is switched on, then each time the Browser is reopened the folder containing the most recently opened project will be automatically selected. Otherwise the Working Projects folder will be selected.
Restore all expanded folders
If this option is switched on, then each time the Browser is reopened any folders that were previously expanded will be automatically expanded again.
Reconnect to remote connections
Switch this option on to restore any remote connections that had been opened the previous time the Browser was open.
Information panel
Display Project Revisions in the browser
Switch this option on to display the Project Revisions tab in the Information pane of the Browser.
Display Project Updates in the browser
Switch this option on to include Project updates on the Project Revisions tab.
Display Linked Revisions in the browser
Switch this option on to display the Linked Revisions tab in the Information pane of the Browser.
Display Inserted Layers in the browser
Switch this option on to display the Inserted Layers tab in the Information pane of the Browser.
Display Project Documents in the browser
Switch this option on to display the Documents tab in the Information pane of the Browser.
Change the way the columns are displayed in the List View (colours, grid), whether they can be moved/resized, and how the thumbnail images are shown:

Always allow columns to be moved and sized
Switch this option on to allow column widths and positions to be changed.
Allow columns to be grouped
Switch this option on to enable the grouping of the displayed projects by any of the visible fields.
Allow advanced filtering of results
Switch this option on to enable advanced filtering. This is described in full on the List view page.
Display grid lines
Switch this option on and select a colour if you want to separate all of the rows and columns using grid lines.
Special effects
From the drop-down list choose None, Alternate row colours or Alternate column colours. Choose the required colour in which to draw the alternate rows.
List View Image Sizes
These are the thumbnail sizes and spacing when the View style is Large, Small or List.
The maximum size for Small images is 128 x 128; the maximum size for Large images is 256 x 256.
List View Image Captions
These are the titles to use below each of the thumbnails.
Projects
From the drop-down list choose either Code or Reference.
Templates
From the drop-down list choose either Code or Name.
Symbols
From the drop-down list choose either Code or Name.
Configure which database window (DBW) settings are used for each database table:

Note that you can define one setting for the database information which appears embedded in the browser, for example in the information pane on the layers page, and another setting for the information which appears on a separate form, for example when you right-click on a layer and choose Database. (This is because you may wish to have a cut-down embedded setting and a more detailed pop-up setting.)
Add
Press this button to add a new Database Window descriptor.
Change
Press this button to change the settings for the highlighted item.
Delete
Press this button to delete the highlighted item.
Use a separate Database page
Switch this option on to display the Database Window on a separate tab within the Information pane. Otherwise the Database Window is displayed at the bottom of the Information tab.
