Layout Component Labelling Settings

This form is accessed from the Master Tool Settings and from the Layout Creator tool (Layout Sheet Assistant form).

Name

Enter the unique MTS name.

Description

Enter an optional description for these settings.

Layout Component Labelling Settings

Add component name

Switch this option on to add the one-up block name to the label.

Add group labels

Switch this option on to add a letter prefix to the label.

Number each component

Switch this option on to number each insert sequentially.

Restart numbering for each group

If separate groups of design components are inserted then switching this option on causes each group to be renumbered separately.

Label order

  • Rows - Labels a complete horizontal row before moving on to the next row.  It will start labelling from the front grip edge row towards the back row.
  • Columns - Labels a complete vertical column, starting from the left, before moving on to the next column to the right.

Reverse

Switch this option on to alter the row or column ordering. i.e. go from back to front or right to left.

Position

  • Centre - This will place the label in the centre of the extents of the one up block.
  • Auto-position - This will calculate the largest area within the one up block and write the label into the centre of that area.

Formatting

Palette

From the pulldown list choose the required palette.

Text style

From the pulldown list choose the required text style.

Mirroring

Switch this option on to apply a mirror to the labels.
