Make Ready Board Attributes

The Make Ready Board attributes are used by the Make Ready and the Automatic Make Ready tools. These settings are normally dependent upon the crease channel widths or the material thickness.

The Make Ready Board attributes form box can be opened from Master Tool Settings, Make Ready or Automatic Make Ready tools.

Name

Enter the unique MTS name.

Description

Enter an optional description for these settings.

End Parameters

AX, AY, BX and BY are variables that define the first entities from the crease entity for the normal chamfer profile. These values will apply to the start and end points of the profile.

C determines the point where the extended chamfer profile intersects with the normal chamfer profile.

When you are in one of the make ready tools you can set the visibility option to show sausage lines; this will use the following variables to calculate the widths:

Board Caliper

This value is used to calculate the width of the crease entities.

Material thickness

Enter the material thickness.

Channel depth

Enter the channel depth.

Channel widths

Normal chamfer channel width

Enter the width for the normal chamfer palettes displayed in the make ready tools by the sausage visibility.

Extended chamfer channel width

Enter the width for the extended chamfer palettes displayed in the make ready tools by the sausage visibility.

Crease channel width adjustment

The width for the crease entities is calculated by (1.5 x Board Caliper) + (Crease width in the current layer) - (This value).
