This toolbox is opened via the Window > Standard Toolboxes menu.
Pan and Zoom Toolbox
The Pan and Zoom toolbox allows the user to pan around a 2D drawing layer, by dragging and dropping a zoom box to the required area. The window will display the extents of the current layer, with a hatched box indicating the current extents on the main canvas.
To change the zoom from the Pan and Zoom Window:
- Click onto the current zoom box and drag and drop to a new position.
- Click outside the zoom box; this will place the centre of the zoom box at the snapped point.
- Shift and click will allow you to zoom in and out about the clicked point, changing the current zoom to this position.
The Right Click context menu gives you access to the following tools:
- Extents
- Sheet Extents
- Block Extents
- Selected Extents
- Zoom Previous
- Zoom Next
- Repaint All
- Repaint Current
- Update Preview
- Automatic Update - Toggle automatic preview updating on and off
- Guidelines - These are the lines drawn from the corners of the hatched rectangle. Toggle them on and off
- Toolbar - Toggle on and off the display of the toolbar
- Visibility
The toolbar allows you to quickly run the viewing tools.
