Workstation - Database Connections
This page allows you to add, change or delete database connections.
Add
Press this button to add a new database connection via the Project Database Properties form.
Change
Press this button to configure the highlighted database connection via the Project Database Properties form.
Delete
Press this button to delete the highlighted setting.
Any connection defined as a Primary Database Connection will be available when you connect to Impact, or a remote connection can be created from the Project Browser.
Automatically Detect Database Connections
Impact can automatically detect the settings required for a database connection if the MSDE or SQL Server has been setup to publish its settings. This will open the Detect Connection form.
At the top of the page, the name of your Current Connection is shown. You cannot delete your current connection.
