IPDS DOS Database
This page allows you create a connection to an IPDv4 database, for importing V4 files.
IPDS DOS ODBC Source
From the drop-down list of configured databases select the ODBC source for the IPDS v4 DOS database from the list. (This source must be set up from the ODBC Administrator program as database type "dBASE3".)
Prompt for which revision to import
If enabled, a list of revisions is displayed when importing a drawing and you can select which revision to import. Otherwise the latest version of the drawing is imported.
Database Index Fields
Layout table index field
Specify the database field in the IPDS v4 DOS Layout table which uniquely identifies the layout. This is usually LAYOUT_NR.
Design table index field
Specify the database field in the IPDS v4 DOS Design table which uniquely identifies the design. This is usually DES_NR.
Note that you also need to set up the following paths (see File Locations above) to locate the IPDS v4 DOS files:
IPDS DOS Layouts - the path where the layouts are located
IPDS DOS Database - the path where the dBASE files are located
IPDS DOS Squeeze - the path where the squeeze files are located
