By choosing the appropriate item from the drop-down list you can choose a combination of the name (D_NAME, S_NAME) and code (D_CODENUM, S_CODENUM)

Layers

Use this option to define how layers are described in the Impact Explorer. Before using this option, you will need to set up a Formatted Strings MTS for the LAYERS table. This is the default MTS to use if no extra layer type MTS has been defined. Then, you should create any other required Formatted Strings MTS for other tables such as ONE_UP, MULTI_UP etc.

When displaying layers show

From the pulldown choose either Names or Advanced formats. If you choose Names, then just the layer name will be displayed in the Impact Explorer. Choosing Advanced formats enables the pulldown that shows a list of layer types and the Formatted strings MTS list. The MTS list will be restricted to only show those that apply to the chosen layer type.

An example display could be something like this:-

Customers

From the drop-down list choose Code, Code (Name), Name, Name (Code) or Advanced Format. If you choose Advanced Format then a new list is displayed that contains all of the Formatted Strings that refer to the CUSTOMER table.

Pretty print Customer names

This option is only displayed if you have chosen one of the options that includes Name. Switch this option on to automatically format the names to be lower case with initial capitals for easier readability.
