Palette Attributes - Manufacturing
Rule
Width
Enter the width of the rule. This value is used by several tools, including plotting and profile rubber.
Note that the same Width also appears on the General page of the Palette Attributes form.
Height
Enter the height of the rule.
Bevel Side
From the drop-down list choose the bevel-side:
- Centre
- Left
- Right
Bevel Distance
Enter the bevel distance for this palette.
This value is used when plotting an entity and determines the side to offset when output. If Left or Right have been selected, the offset distance will be half the Width minus the Bevel distance.
Preview
This gives a visual representation of a cross-section of the rule, indicating the bevel side.
Make Ready Channel
With grain/flute
Enter the width of the channel to cut where entity lies with grain/flute of output material.
Against grain/flute
Enter the width of the channel to cut where entity lies against grain/flute of output material.
Against equals With
If this option is checked then the Against grain/flute entry field will not be available, but it will be automatically set to be equal to the With grain/flute value.
Depth
Enter the depth of the make ready channel.
Angled cut
This option is only available for rule types Cut, Crease and Delamination. It is the angle of a V-Cut and is used when 3D folding. Switch the option on if this palette is used for V-Cuts.
Angle
Enter the required V-cut angle.
Preview
This gives a visual representation of a cross-section through the board after the V-cut has been made.
