Use this form to display and modify layer information.
Design Options - Layers
All of the layers in the project are displayed in the list.
Add
Use this button to add a new layer to the drawing. This will display the Layer Properties - New Layer form.
Add Master
Use this button to add a new master layer. This will display the Impact Browser, where you should select the master project from which to insert the layer. Make the layer tab current on the information pane. Right-click the required layer and choose Insert Layer from the context menu. Alternatively you can use the Master Layer Search at the bottom of this form.
Duplicate
Use this button to make a duplicate of the highlighted layer.
Properties
Use this button to edit the Layer Properties of the highlighted layer.
Delete
This button is only available if the highlighted layer(s) is not locked. Use it to delete the highlighted layer(s).
Locate
This button is only available if the highlighted layer is a master layer (i.e. a layer inserted from a master project). It will locate the master layer in the Impact Browser.
Update
This button is only available if the highlighted layer is a master layer that is not locked. You can use it to update the master layer geometry.
Unlink
This button is only available if the highlighted layer is a master layer that is not locked. You can use it to remove the link between the highlighted layer and the master layer.
Clear
This button is only available if the highlighted layer is a master layer. You can use it to clear the master layer geometry from the highlighted layer.
Show Master Layer Search
Use this button to display the search options at the bottom of the form. This allows you to search the Project Database for a particular Master Project using either the code or reference (where configured to be unique in the database). Enter the required value and press the Search button.
The Master Project name will be displayed with a list of available layers. Pick the layer that you want to add to the drawing and press the Add Layer button.
Synchronise Project Layers
If this button is switched on, then whenever you highlight a different layer in the list, that layer will become the drawing's current layer.
